EVOLUTION OF “THE BIG BANG”

One of Minnesota's brighter lights returns to his roots on July 14 and
15 at
the Cabooze in Minneapolis when Jonny Lang unites for two nights only
with
The Big Bang, the group that helped propel the guitar prodigy to a
national
audience. Originally formed over six years ago in Fargo, North Dakota,
Kid
Jonny Lang and the Big Bang quickly announced themselves to the region
as a
musical force. Since their split, Jonny has developed a reputation as
one of
the brightest young talents in the blues, having honed his skills on
tour
with Aerosmith, Buddy Guy and the Rolling Stones, among others. For
these
concerts, Jonny will be accompanied by Bruce MaCabe, Keyboardist for
his
current band and Jonny's longtime collaborator. One can expect the
evenings
to be filled with favorites from the old days, blues standards and
high-octane blues energy. This reunion will surely provide local
audiences
with a unique opportunity to see a nationally prominent performer in an
intimate setting, re-engaging old relationships and establishing music
of
extraordinary power.
