The Egyptian enters Yugi's room-of-the-soul, only to discover an anomality--Yugi's mind has two doors! One of them, Yugi's, is filled with toys... but there is another one with a golden eye that opens all on its own, with the other Yugi standing in the doorway! The other Yugi taunts the Egyptian for not being brave enough to go into his room. The Egyptian does enter, and thinks that the room looks like the tomb of a Pharaoh. The other Yugi demands that he explain why he is there; he says he came to discover the secret of the Millennium Puzzle. He talks about his two Millennium items. He says that he wants to see the other Yugi's true room... The other Yugi says that he can see the true room if he finds it. The Egyptian seems confident, but soon he finds out that the room is actually a huge labyrinth... He nearly falls through a trap in the floor, but the other Yugi helps him up and tells him to get lost.
The Egyptian is greeted by a confused Yugi, who says that he had just spaced out and is really worried about him. He gives Yugi back his Millennium Puzzle and realizes that Yugi doesn't know about his other self, so he tells Yugi that he must accomplish his duty as the person who solved the Millennium Puzzle,. This means he must discover his other self, and find out it's true power. Then he gives his name and leaves, knowing this is only the beginning...
This starts out with Jonouchi asking Yugi to go with him to the arcade, to which Yugi readily agrees. When they get there, Jou explains that his plan is to beat the top score of one of the games, and beat the record of a person named "KAI", who has the top scores in all of the arcade games. Plus, the arcade games are connected online, making "KAI" the best in the country. "KAI" has all the records. Jou is optimistic, and Yugi is excited for his friend, until two punk kids show up and say tell them that "KAI" stands for "Kaiba". Jonouchi doesn't care, and the kids leave. Joey plays a game and sucks at it, and then Yugi tries a fighting game, choosing the character "Bruce Ryuu", based on Bruce Lee. (He's like, a legend, okay? Yah. So, Yugi gets challenged on the game by another player. He wins. The person challenges him again. And again. And again. And again... Finally, Joey goes off to get Yugi a Coke after about 30 games (and Yugi won them all @_@) Finally, you see the guy across from Yugi get up in a tantrum, and storm over to Yugi, telling him to stop looking so smug. (<_< Which he didn't, by the way. He was actually pretty tired.) He punches Yugi in the face, and performs Bruce Lee's "One-Inch Terror" on the lil' guy. (Poor Yugi!) The same punk kids (I think) come back to see if Yugi is already. Jonouchi returns, and when he sees Yugi got hurt, he drops the Coke is brought for Yugi. Jonouchi follows the jerk outside, and challenges him to a fight. The guy agrees.
Cue in to see Sugoroku Motou being pulled to the emergency room, complete with all those people reading his stats outloud--to who, I'm not sure. Anyway, Sugoroku is in completey critical condition. The old man only has one thing on his mind... his grandson beating Kaiba!
Yugi feels his grandfather's heartbeat through his deck of cards. He feels his heartbeat getting faster, and realizes that his grandpa doesn't have much time. To save his grandfather, he has to "defeat Kaiba with the heard of the cards".
Honda points out the entrance to the next game. They all scramble into the room. Meanwhile, they are being watched by Seto Kaiba. He reveals that he underestimated some factors, such as their close friendship makes them a good team. He also reveals that the Death T-3 is specially designed to break up their friendship and teamwork.
Go to the next page, to see the picture of about eight feet. o.O They enter the Death T-3, wondering what could follow the Horror Zone. They are all shocked to see that there is nothing but an empty room. Of course, the door slides immediately closed. They search all over, but the only exit is 10 meters above the floor. It's impossible to climb up there, so they decide to wait for the "game" to start. Jonouchi tells Yugi not to give up, but Yugi looks disheartened.
And they're waiting... And they're waiting... Yugi things that maybe nothing is supposed to happen, and the next thing, he throws a fit and screams out that he's sorry to everyone. Jonouchi death glares him, grabs him, and starts yelling at him that he never wants to hear him say that again. Honda makes Jonuchi let go of him. Jonouchi reveals that he never really started to like himself until he met Yugi, and Honda agrees. Then, Jonouchi grabs him AGAIN (ignoring what Honda just said two pages ago) and YELLS at him that he wants to share his pain. Tears start falling down Yugi's face... Jonouchi then tells him, more gently, that he's not giving up, and neither should Yugi.
Anzu asks the guys if the white room reminds them of a blank canvas. She says that if she ever went somewhere special with her friends, she'd want to leave her name there to remember it by! (Jonouchi asks if she's a tagger, lol.) Suddenly, she tells the VERY confused guys to put out her hands, and, viola, with a wink, and a few strokes of a magic marker, she produces... a smiley face! Anzu says that now they'll always be together, even after they graduate, and she goes to New York. Just then, cubes start to drop down! The third game of the Death T has begun! Kaiba watches on amused as all of them run out of the way frantically (except, of course, for Johji, who's still asleep). Kaiba reveals that because in this game, the more people, the harder the game is.
Yugi has realized that to get to the door, they have to climb on the cubes. So... they climb... and they climb... More frantic running and climbing... until Anzu realizes there's a rhythm to the falling cubes' timing. She predicts where the cubes are going to fall. Later, they are almost at the exit. Yugi, being the short runt that he is, is having trouble climb the last of the cubes. Honda lends him a hand. Suddenly, the rhythm changes! A cube falls right next to Honda. Honda lifts Yugi in the air and gives him to Jonouchi. They all yell for Honda to hurry, but Honda shows them that he's stuck. He gives them a thumbs-up. Then the cube falls...
Meanwhile, Seto Kaiba gets a visit from his little brother Mokuba. Mokuba asks his brother if he remembers their bet. The two Kaiba brothers had bet on which stage of the Death T Yugi would die on. Mokuba picked Death T 4, while Kaiba chose the fifth stage. Mokuba yells at his big brother, because Mokuba faces Yugi in the Death T 4, and Kaiba didn't choose him. He bet on Yugi instead of him. Kaiba reminds him that he lost to Yugi before. Mokuba reveals, in a sniffling voice, that he just thought Kaiba'd like him if he beat Yugi. (Awwww, poor kid. What a rotten big brother.) Kaiba tells him that he CAN'T beat Yugi, and that there's no such thing as brotherly love in the gaming world. He calls Mokuba a loser. Mokuba retaliates with an "I'll show you!" He leaves, ready to show his brother that HE is a gamer.
Meanwhile, Yugi reveals to his friends that he things there's another person inside of him that he doesn't know about... He tells them that he kept it a secret, because he was afraid they'd LEAVE him! (Noooo! Poor Yugi, don't cry! DON'T CRY!) Jonouchi SWEARS that no matter what, they will always be friends. This makes Yugi feel a whole lot better. They run to the next stage, to see that it really IS a stage--complete with a screaming audience! Mokuba welcomes Yugi, and tells him to go to the stage alone. Jonouchi doesn't want him to, but Yugi tells him he's not a weakling anymore, and he won't be afraid... of the other Yugi...
The other Yugi then comes out, and tells Anzu and Jonouchi that he will win! JAW DROPS, anyone? So, "Yugi" goes up to the stage. People in the audience taunt him and say there's no way he can win. Yugi and Mokuba exchange taunts, then Mokuba reveals that this is the second-to-last stage, and that his older brother, Seto Kaiba, is waiting on the floor above...
He also tells Yugi that he's gonna DIE at this stage, along with his friends! Yugi then realizes that Jonouchi and Anzu are threatened by guns. If HE loses, SO DO THEY! Jonouchi tells him to play anyway. Mokuba then reveals that they'll be playing Capsule Monster Chess. Mokuba wants to show off to his big brother, Yugi wants to save his grandpa...
Last time, Yugi defeated Kaiba's little brother Mokuba. He then quickly disposed of Kaiba's first monster, which the insane super-genious shrugged off. Kaiba thinks about how he let Yugi win.
