THE ONLY WAY TO BE FLUENT IN WRITING IS BY WRITING EVERYDAY, YOU CAN WRITE A JOURNAL FOR 5 MINUTES
In sports you spend most of the time practising for the real game. Even the games are practise for the championship match. Writing in any language also requires regular practice if you want the "writing muscles" to function easily. The same is true for speaking foreigh language- practise, practise, practice. Many people believe that writing more fluently will help you to speak fluently. Writing is also a convenient opportunity to practice using English if you can't practice speaking outside of class. It is an ability you can develop individually and continue to use for a long time - not only in english but in any language.
Here are some suggestions to help to start:
Pay attention to small details you see, hear, experience around you during the day. Could you write any of them down? Does anything give you an idea for a story or an article you want to write one day?
Transcribe (translate) fragments of conversation you hear on the bus or on the metro or in the street.
When you get an idea for a future topic- write it in your journal.
Did you get angry at anyone today?
Have you seen an interesting movier, read an interestion book, had an interesting conversation or an interesting dream lately? What was about? Why did you like/dislike it?
Is there a letter or project you have been postponnin? What ideas do you want to include?
What do you think about this class? Whar are the things you like? Do you have any suggestion for alternative activities?
Are you reaching your objectives for this class or for your job? Are you exceeding them? What new objectives do you want to set?
I f you absolutely can't think of anything else to write, copy the following statement until you think of something else to write.
