Note: Number 9, Marcelinho of German Bundesliga side Hertha BSC Berlin, scored 2 goals against the Maldivian National team on 13th May 2002 (National day of the Maldives) when the Maldivian National team hosted Hertha Berlin in a friendly. He had been absolutely phenomenal through out the game. He scored 2 long-range goals past Imran in both halves and missed his hat-trick chance when the post denied his bullet shot. Ali-Shiham of Club Valencia scored the only Maldivian goal in the first half.
