Sublime Madness
is my first book. It chronicles my experiences during
a three year period of my life, when I was delusional.
The first half of the book covers the negative symptoms
of my illness, leaving nothing but cream for the
second half of the book. This portion is devoted,
entirely, to the positive symptoms of my illness
(a.k.a the hallucinations).
I attended Southern Methodist
University for three and a half years, where I was
pursuing a degree in English. I've always loved
to write. I attempted to pen my first book at the
age of ten. It was a novel about two brothers who
were forced to fight on opposite sides in WWII.
I didn't have such a good grasp of history at the
time, but the manuscript showed some promise. I
also write poetry. You can check out "A Blue
Echo" to your left. It's been published in
several places, it's included in Sublime
Madness, and it's slated to be published
in Europe.
I'm an internet junkie. I
think that I'll be a netrepreneur for the rest of
my life. Writing and building websites are my two
main hobbies, so I've decided to combine them into
what I think will be my first career. I am, currently,
studying to become a Technical Writer, part-time,
at Richland College in Dallas, TX. I like the field
of Technical Communications well enough, and I hope
that I've found my niche.
I was diagnosed with provisionsal
schizophrenia due to a major depression in September
of 1998, then came my three year battle with schizoaffective
disorder. I've been hospitalized and jailed, because
of my illness. The most spectacular part of my experience
with schizoaffective disorder was an eight-month
period of straight hallucination. It was what Carl
Jung termed a “waking dream.” This period
of my life is portrayed in the second half of Sublime
Madness. This portion of the book is a
riveting trip inside the mind of a man gone mad.
I shudder to think of the
day, when I get forced into the real world, again.
My goal is to earn a living on the web and do contract
work on the side. I have a lot of hope built into
my book and my websites. If you have any suggestions
for improving this one, don't hesitate to e-mail
me, and please, let me know, if you like the book.
