Friends are special treasures.
Friends enlarge our world. They make us feel important and more secure in life. Friends work together. They create magic together. They help each other. They get busy, but they keep each other in the forefront of their minds and in the recesses of their hearts. Even when they're apart, friends here each other's thoughts. Their influence on each other makes a lasting impression.
Sometimes, friends don't even know it when they've said just the right words at just the right time. Sometimes friends feel like family. Sometimes they really do become family.
The soul hungers for friendship. We keep the gift and get the blessing of friendship by passing it on to others in this give-and-take world. Thank you for this gift. What a blessing you've been to me!
If you're ever lying on a beach with
80 billion grains of sand beneath you.
700 thousand ocean waves before you,
60 million stars stretched out above you,
and you're still not at all impressed,
I want you to think about this:
The light you see reflecting from the stars is over one million years old
WOW.
But then, just before you begin to feel like a mere blip
in the gigantic scheme of things, please remember this:
Yes, you are small, but you're also irreplaceable
and invaluable
and miraculous.
Those stars don't have anything on you.
Friends are gifts we give ourselves.

I knew you could! And you knew it,too-
That you'd come out on top after all you've been through.
And from here you'll go farther and see brand new sights.
You'll face brand-new hills that rise to new hights.
I wish I could show you the stops that you'll visit,
But that isn't my choice to make for you, is it?
Instead, I can tell you some lessons and tales
That I've learned and relearned in my time on the rails.
You might stop at some stops that you have never toured,
And look for new friends, but they won't come aboard
So you'll have to head out with a creek and a groan,
Setting out once again on your track all alone.
Try to remember that the world is so wide,
Full of all kinds of people with their own trains to ride.
Just stay true to yourself as you travel your track,
With no second-guessing and no looking back.
When you're down and troubled
and you need a helping hand
and nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest nights.

can make a friendship
