Meredith;

I am Meredith. You may call me whatever you like as I am not truly Meredith. You are probably not your name anyway, so it doesn't really matter what we call one another.

I am a senior in high school and am seventeen. I live at home with my mother, father, and younger brother and sister. I speak English and French (not Canadian), though my broken Acadian French is really rather pitiful. I plan to attend St. Mary's University in the fall of 2004 and sincerely hope that one of my friends will accompany me as I am somewhat terrified of such new situations.

I live outside of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. It snows too early in NB. In October, even. I am a wimp when it comes to the cold... or the hot. It's going to kill me living further inland next year.

I am in love with English and in hate with math. I am not a science student; despite this, I read Discover and Scientific American. I write and read fanfiction (especially slash), though I am quite the lurker. I also read almost anything in print. I love such fandoms as: Harry Potter, Stargate SG-1, Star Wars, The Vampire Chronicles, Lord of the Rings, and the occasional Pirates of the Caribbean. I also love but do not read/write fanfic for: Queer As Folk, Dead Like Me, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and the Matrix. I also love Classic!Disney and its music. My favourites include: Aladdin, The Lion King, and Pocahontas. I do not believe in Classic!Disney sequels.

I am a Shakespear addict. I'd love to study all the plays, but it takes a good deal of time to sufficiently understand all the elements, so I'm taking it slow. I have studied Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and King Henry IV Part I. I have read/watched (but not yet studied) Julius Caesar, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Twelfth Night (Or What You Will), and Much Ado About Nothing. I will be studying Hamlet next semester.

I do not get along with my sister and, to a lesser extent, my father. My mother is my best friend, and I feel bad about going away to University and leaving her. Perhaps she should move to Fredericton.

I dislike driving and have not yet gone for my licence. I hate horror films. Psychological thrillers/mysteries are the greatest. Sci-Fi is a difficult genre to get right, but when film makers hit it, I love them. I like comedies, and can even sit through a romantic comedy if it involves hot British men (preferably gay). Like Rupert Everett.

I have an obsession for Ewan McGregor, Colin Farrell, Alan Rickman, Ty from Trading Spaces, and my history teacher (who bears a striking resemblance to Mr. Farrell in Minority Report).
