The following night, all the adults went to the movies, including the guys from 2002. So, the kids were left in Brianna’s care for the evening.
”Okay,” she said, “Alex, go to your room. I will come and get you when it’s time for dinner. The rest of you may do as you wish. I will call you in for dinner at around 7:30.” She strode off into the kitchen.
”Where are you going?” Chloe asked Alex.
”To the TV room to play video games, where else?”
”I don’t think so. Come on slick, up the stairs, march!” She steered Alex toward the stairs and marched him up to his room. “Now you be a good boy and stay in here until dinner like you were told. If I catch you downstairs again, your parents will hear of it.” She left the room.
”Yeah right! Like I’m gonna take orders from a girl!” He got up and left the room. He went back downstairs to play video games.
Meanwhile, future Nsync, present Nsync, and the wives had just taken their seats at the theater. Older Lance, older Joey, Lance, and Joey were out getting refreshments for everyone.
”And two family size buckets of popcorn, no, make that three,” older Joey was saying to the guy at the counter.
”Sheesh! That’s a huge order. Are you sure you can pay for all this?” the man said.
”Yeah, I can do it, no problem.”
”How many are you buying for anyway?”
”Fifthteen.”
”Fifthteen! My God that’s a lot of people! I’ve never seen a party that big before! Good luck carrying all this.”
”Don’t worry, I have some help. Grab what you can you guys and let’s get back before the movie starts.” He, Joey, older Lance, and Lance grabbed as much as they could carry and headed back into the theater. There they handed out everything to the people who ordered it.
”Did you have any trouble?” asked older Justin.
”No,” older Joey replied.
”Shhh, the movie’s starting,” said older JC as the theater got dark.
The previews began and the whole theater fell silent.
”COMING SOON TO A THEATER NEAR YOU. JUST WHEN YOU ARE POSITIVE IT IS ALL OVER…JUST WHEN YOU THINK THAT REDHEAD IS DESTROYED FOREVER…HE COMES BACK! IN THE SEVENTH MOVIE OF THIS WELL KNOWN HORROR, SERIES, WE MEET AN OLD FRIEND.”
”HI ANDY! I’M BACK!”
”THAT’S RIGHT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ANDY, ONCE AGAIN FACES THE REDHEADED DOLL IN ‘CHUCKIE’S REUNION’…COMING TO THEATERS THIS HALLOWEEN.”
”I wanna see that,” older Justin whispered to older Chris.
”Me too.”
Soon the previews ended and the movie began.
Back at the house, Alex was being yelled at by Brianna. She had caught him playing video games when he was supposed to be up in his room.
”I thought I told you to go to your room and stay there until I came and got you for dinner!”
”I don’t have to listen to you, you’re a girl.”
”She may be a girl, but I’m not!” Adam interrupted. “And I’m telling you to go to your room and don’t come out until dinner. Let’s go, march!”
”God, you sound like Chloe,” Alex said as he stomped up the stairs. “Come on slick, up the stairs, march!” he mimicked Chloe’s firm voice from earlier.
”You know what Alex?” said Brianna, “Just stay down here, dinner will be ready in five.”
”I’m not eating anything you cook!” He darted to the top of the stairs.
”Fine! Starve then. Dinner in five everybody!” They all went into the dining room. Brianna went into the kitchen and came out a few minutes later with the meal. Everyone dished themselves up and ate. Nobody spoke. It was always silent at dinner when the adults weren’t home. The adults always had something interesting to say.
When everyone was fed and the dishes washed, they all went into the TV room to watch a movie. About forty minutes into it, the adults came home.
”How’d it go?” older JC asked Brianna.
”Well, Desi of course, was a perfect angel like everyone else. Alex on the other hand…” She jumped into a full report of what had happened that night. “Finally, he said he wasn’t going to eat anything I cook and went to his room. Haven’t seen or heard from him since,” she finished.
”That boy is in so much trouble!” he yelled as he stomped up the stairs.
A few moments later, everyone heard JC scolding his son. He came back downstairs fuming. Everyone decided it would be best to just leave him alone for a while.
