Owed To Bobby Franklin A U.S. Army M.P.

On 20 Aug. 2003, the world lost a great M.P.. For on that night in
Baghdad, there was a awful firefight that brought a great man to his
end. Not only was he a M.P., but a father of two, a daughter and
son with a lovely wife too.

Just to show you how good he was, while on patrol he would never
go without chocolate bars for all the kids he would see. Oh how he
loved to pass them out every day and every night just for the kids
delight.

The thing that makes his loss so sad was he lost his life because of a
friends sight. That night was his friends turn to drive but at night he
had poor sight so Bobby said "I'll drive the HumVee tonight." As he
drove on their patrol, there came a awful roar as a RPG slammed
into his door. On that, his life came to a end but not his friends. For
on the next night they were back for the fight. There is no greater
gift to give then your life for a friend.

Bobby Franklin gave that gift on Aug. 20th, 2003 in Baghdad, Iraq
so they may live without fear. The code of all police be it Military or
on our streets is to serve and protect. Bobby Franklin lived and died
serving to protect.

Thank you God for giving us a great man that I know is still
serving as a Guarding Angel for someone. Also thank you
Lord for all of our soldiers that wear the Badge of U.S.M.P.
