Americans

As I look around my home, I see many of our liberties
surrounding me. There is a well stocked refrigerator,
cabinets overflowing with goodies, nice furniture to sit on, a
television in several rooms and enough clothes that I can get
behind in laundry and no one notices. My children can run and
play without too much fear of danger. I think it's fair to say
that this is an average American home.

The sister of a soldier wrote me the other day, and used this
phrase... "America...Land of the Free because of the Brave."

Friends, this is so true. If not for our brave men and women of
the military we would be no better off then those that we are

fighting for right now.

I am going to make a plea to all that read this.....

Please help us to support our troops. I belong to a group of

Americans that have come together to keep the morale of our
military up. We are called 'The Soldier's Angels Foundation.'
We send hundreds of letters, cards and care packages. We
not only reach out to our "Soldiers at war" but also to our
"wounded". We donate our time and our hearts, but we are
small and can't do it alone. We need your help. I can't even go
grocery shopping any more without thinking, "Hmmm...what
would a soldier like?" I am fully aware that our government
takes care of their immediate needs, but we can send touches
from home. We can send love in an envelope.

We can spend time arguing about the war, OR we can be the
American People that, in my heart, I know we are and reach out
to our soldiers. There are groups that have projects in
progress that you can get involved with. You can "adopt a
soldier" or make a donation, write a letter, sign a card, or
send a care package.

My adopted soldier wrote this....

"It certainly is getting cold over here; the joke going around
is that we now have all seen "a cold day in hell."

Imagine what they go through...I tell him all the time how
proud we are of him. Wouldn't it be a great feeling if he was
proud of all of us too??

So when you are thinking about a New Years Resolution here's
one for you....
