Where to Board

These days it can be very hard to decide where you want to go to board. And the worst thing is to get there and find out that it is not the kind of resort you wanted. Many of the higher altitude resorts are pretty good but cost a lot of money. Resorts at a higher elevation cost more because they usually gave better snow (mostly because it is real). The lower elevations tend to have their snow melt earlier in the season.

Resorts will usually try to have many different terrain types to attract different boarders. The people who just carve usually look for big, groomed areas. The freestylers look for places that give a lot of air. And freeriders look for bowls and trees and backcountry areas.
