Types of Rape

                                                               Stranger

                                                              Occurs when victim is attacked by someone they do     

                                                              not know.

                                                              Acquaintance

                                                        Occurs when victim is attacked by someone they do

                                                        know such as a friend, family member, or colleague .

                                                              Multiple

                                                   Occurs when victim is attacked by more then one

                                                              perpetrator.

                                                              Marital

                                                           Occurs when victim is sexually assaulted by a husband

           or wife without their consent.

                                                 Date/Drug Rape

                                                          Occurs when victim is drugged by a date or at a place

                              such as a party. Common drugs include:

*Excessive Alcohol

                                                              * GHB (liquid ecstasy) - salty taste, turns clear drinks

                                                                     cloudy

                                                                   *Ketamine

                                                                   *Cigarettes soaked in embalming fluid (FRY) - High

                                                                     risk for death

                                                                *Rohypnol (Roofies) - Dissolves in drinks with no taste,

                        odor or color. Impairs memory.
