Welcome to my page... the page's name is the simple life of mine, well, my life is ok right now, but I'll let you be the judge of that later on.
This is my updated babble, I originally had it on Geocities as a website, not a blog, I was copying my friend John, cuz he also had one (I'm not very creative), anyways, I realized that it took to much time, and I get way too lazy to update it. I was thinking about livejournal or xanga or something like that but they're way too popular. Meh, I don't really care, I doubt anyone I know will end up reading all this anyways.
I wanted to babble about work and such. Work has been playing such a big part in my life lately. (I work at DQ Grill & Chill, btw). I actually enjoy working, I love going to work, the people are fun (depending on who) I just can't stand like 3 of them. Anyways, my main focus is relationships with people, and friendships I made, so here I go.
Three years ago, I moved away from home to attend university, I made friends from my floor from living in residence, I now live with the ones that I got along with, one of them actually share a room with me in first year. After moving out of residence, I along with four other girls found a place for rent about 15 minutes walk away from campus, we all moved in in September of 2001, one of the girls turned out to be an attention seeking bitch and went all retarded on us, I don't want to talk about her, so we're moving on. Another roommate moved to another university because the program she was taking here was getting cancelled. Anyways, to make a long story short, from September 2002 to like April 2003, I was living with all my friends from Windsor, with the exception of my best friend Kathy (who I've known since high school and the longest friendship I've ever had), Kyle, the love of my life, who I don't get to chill with very often, and John, who I rarely see at all.
I still remember our most recent house barbeque, all I invited was Kyle and Ryan (his roommate), because all my friends are in Markham, and everyone else who came to the bbq was Tara and Lynzi's friends, I felt like I didn't belong, I don't know, I just felt out of place, so I spent all my time outside in the rain, barbequeing food for people.
On May 14th 2003, I went to the DQ orientation, when I got there, I saw this girl Nicole who I previously worked with at Tim Hortons about a year ago. I never really got to know her, we talked whenever we saw each other, but that was about it. Needless to say that I didn't get much of a chance anyways because they fired me almost 3 months later. Anyways, we got chatting, then at orientation, we met a lot more people, I was being the crazy one running around trying to learn everyone's names. After orientation, Nikki (Nicole) and I got talking to these two other guys who also lived in our area (they were roommates), and we all walked home together. Then for the next 7 days, Ryan, Dan, Nikki and I were inseparable, it was so crazy.
When the store opened to the public, we all had different schedules and saw less of each other, but it also allowed me to get to know everyone else I was to work with. I worked everyday the first month, except for one weekend which I took off to work at the convocation for the university, and one day that I was really sick and had to call in sick, so 3 days off in a whole month. I got to know people who were about my age like Vicky, Erin, Ben and Ryan (different from the Ryan that was mentioned before) , but I also get along well with Shannon, Renee, Kirsten, Danielle, Nikki's mom, Chris, who I also call mom, and two other ladies that work during the day shifts, Bonny and Joanne. I think everyone that I get along with likes me too, at least that's what I hope. Susie is the owner, Rob's wife, she told me that she wanted to ask me if I could be a backup babysitter for their son Carver, then she told me that of all the people that works at the store, she trusts me most with Carver, do you know how flattering it is to hear that from the owner's wife, someone who I've know for a few months?
My birthday is coming up, it's 28 days away, and Carver will be turning 1 the day after I turn 22. Carver is so cute, I got a picture of him with Susie when I was going picture happy at work, he's so photogenic too. He's going to turn out to be a very beautiful boy with those eyes.
I still have no idea what to do for my birthday, I have no clue if my friends are coming down, I know I am going home the weekend before though, which is good because I get to collect my birthday money from my parents and grandparents. If Dom and them don't come down for my birthday, I'll still have a small party and invite people from work for a little barbeque, this time I won't feel out of place, not anymore.
