Forrest Gates was bored. That was not a good thing. Riley was off chasing that Buffy Summers girl and Graham was doing who knows what. That left Forrest alone. And when Forrest Gates was bored and alone, only problems could arise.
The dark skinned man was currently lounging on the campus, watching the people who walked past with little interest. All the girls were the same plain, boring females he always saw around. What would he give for someone interesting?
As if his thoughts signalled some higher power, he glimpsed a small redhead hurrying across the grass. Her hair was layered around her shoulders but he was two far away to see his eyes. She looked like any other freshman girl, dressed in jeans and an off the shoulder peasant blouse, a knapsack thrown over her shoulder.
But there was something different, something in the way she walked. This wasn’t an ordinary girl. In fact, Forrest might go as far as to say she might just be quite extraordinary. She caught Forrest’s interest and held it, not an easy thing to do.
A slow easy smile spread across his handsome face. It seemed like Forrest Gates had just found something interesting to catch his attention.
