Powers: Extreme telepathy and mind posession skills. He can create alternate realities with his mind and "send" people there by projecting the fantasy into the person's mind. Also, he is able to forge an empathic link with another person, allowing him to visually display that person's memories. If he isn't completely careful, he can "over-ride" the other person's mind and injur, or potentially kill them.
History: Shane was born in Boston to Irish imigrints Laurie and Denis Bixby. He was a healthy, ordinary child until the age of 10 when his hearing suddenly disappeared and his eyes began to gradually weaken. He was taken to the best doctors his parents could afford, but none could find a cause or cure for his loss of senses.
A brilliant student, but unable to continue on with his education, Shane delved into his imagination and created fantasy lands where he would spend most of his free time. So, his day were spent happily living in his dream worlds. That is, until his parents were killed in a bank heist gone wrong.
With nowhere to go, Shane took up residence at the local YMCA, where he actively participated in sports and acting.
He did not, however, fully realize he was a mutant until he met Isabella Sadler, also known as Zap. Isabella herself was a mutant living in Boston and witnessed Shane get hit by a car. Scared for his safety, she took Shane back to her place and helped him recover. The two became fast friends, and eventually lovers, though breaking the communication barrier was a bit difficult.
Living peacefully with Isabella was one thing, but getting involved with the Underground was another. Isabella happened to be the neice of Hester Grey, the head of the Boston Vice Society. Shane was loyal to Isabella, who was loyal to her beloved aunt, who was in turn loyal to Miss Patsy Hyatt.
After a chance meeting with the famed Miss Patsy at one of Aunt Hester's parties, Isabella and Shane decided to accept her offer to join her new mutant movement to gain control of all vices.

Other distinguishing physical features: Shane is completely deaf and almost totally blind, making his
other senses much stronger. He still retains the ability to speak, however.
Personality: Shane is a survivor. He no longer feels sorry for himself and his disabilities. He is very protective of Isabella, who he loves dearly, and has a sort of telepathic bond with her. He is very misunderstood by the other members of the Underground, excluding Isabella, and keeps almost totally to himself.
He has a passions for fantasy lands, especially ones with dragons and other mythic creatures. He has a vast knowlege of myths and folklore and spends much of his time daydreaming.
**Other: Shane can understand people by feeling the vibrations in their voices when they speak, and by using braille. He and Isabella have sort of a telepathic bond which allows him to communicate with her.
