Minister of Immigration
By: Nathan Schoo

Ladies and gentlemen, teachers and classmates, and fellow politicians, I am pleased to introduce myself as Nathan Schoo, minister of Immigration. As the great Jack Layton once said, “We need humanitarian immigration policies grounded in compassion and common sense. Immigration is crucial to Canada's economic and cultural vitality.” This applies directly to our party’s thoughts on Immigration. Immigration is an essential factor in creating a positive and durable future for the land of Labrador. Immigrants increase our knowledge about the world around us and add skill sets needed to improve our quality of life. You do want to create a better atmosphere for your children of tomorrow, don’t you? Here at the new Democratic Party, we envision a bright future involving the purity of Waknuk, the urban capital of Riga and the people of the Fringes enjoying harmonious and satisfying yet separate lives. We hope to encourage people to come here and settle permanently in order to increase our population and workforce. There are rumours that a certain place called Sealand and it is supposedly located not far from here. We can attract people from there by offering discounted land and/or other compensation, whether it be financial or otherwise. Now I know that some other parties might disagree with what I’m proposing, but I’m happy to say that it would not be wise to agree with those parties. They might say that we have enough people here already and we should make the people of the Fringes immigrate to Sealand or other areas. This is a foolish thought because we need the Fringes people here to help us work and improve our economic growth. Well Immigration would not be possible without Exploration, so, without further ado, I will pass your attention on to Mr Sam Winger, Minister of exploration and foreign affairs.
