Who We Are
For those of you who don't know, The Messenger is a newspaper in southwest Minnesota that covers the small towns of Wood Lake, Hanley Falls, Echo and Belview. The Messenger was created by Jessica Stolen in 2002. This newspaper was built from the ground up, putting the news in a town that had been without for two years. In our first year of business, we tripled business -- pretty good considering that The Messenger is run by one person only! The Messenger is six pages and covers all city council, school events for the Lakeview and E.C.H.O. Charter School, community events and we run features weekly.
