ECQ; Reaction Energy

There are two types of Activation Energy

Exothermic reactions are when energy is released, and endothermic is when it is taken in. So, Exothermic is hot, and endothermic is cold. (Exo- think exterior, and thermic which is hot.)

Activation Energy

The Total energy either absorbed or released by a reaction doen't tell everything you need to know about the roll of energy in that reaction. You must also measure the energy changes (changes in temperature) Because it gives off heat, which is a form of energy, endothermic has the lowest energy at the end of the reaction. Endothermic has the highest. You can remember who is the highest because Endothermic always ENDS at the top.
