It was a normal Saturday afternoon, and Tim and I spent the day at the mall (my idea, of course). We got back to my house around 5:30pm so that I could get ready for a party that we had to go to that night. Tim told me that he wanted to give me my Christmas present early but that he needed a half hour to set it up. So I was confused, but left my bedroom to go get ready. After I was finished getting dressed, I knocked on my bedroom door and he told me come in.
I sat on my bed next to him and he handed me a digital picture frame. I was so excited because they are the coolest things ever. So, he turned it on and I began watching the slide show of us that he put on it. My mom walked in the room and he stopped it real quickly. I thought that was a little strange but let it go. Tim was completely calm and collective, which is why I had no idea what was about to happen.
I continued to look at the slide show, when my mom left the room. It was on picture 15 of 16 and Tim started to move around a little. Then picture 16 of 16 popped up and it read, "Will you marry me?"
I looked at Tim and he was getting down on his knee pulling a little black box out of his pocket. I looked at him and said, "Are you serious?", he responded, "Yes, I am serious. Will you marry me?" and of course my answer was "YES!" He opened the box and the ring was absolutely perfect.
I am now the future Mrs. Kristi Rathunde.
