Mike White continued to ride like the champion he is in 2005. Although surgery on his riding elbow kept him out of 14 of the 28 Built Ford Tough PBR events during the 2005 season, White made his presence known by winning the first stop of the year at Mohegan Sun and finishing in the average at seven other events. While his limited riding kept him out of the hunt for the world championship title, White took home more than $107,000 in prize money. The 1999 PRCA World Champion and 1999 PBR Rookie of the Year starts the 2006 PBR Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) season healthy and his sights set on a gold buckle.
