Bryan Richardson

This son of a bull rider didn’t start riding bulls until his teens. “My dad didn’t want me to tear up my body while I was young and wanted me to wait until my body matured. So, when I was 13, I got on my first bull at a practice pen.,” recalls Bryan Richardson. Richardson said his dad who taught him how to ride, but he always looked up to another bull riding legend. “Clint Branger was my favorite rider. I liked the way he looked riding bulls and his style.” Winning the Texas Stampede Rodeo in Dallas in 2003 stands out as one of Richardson’s proudest moments. “It was great to win in my hometown. I won $25,000 and a silver trophy—which was the coolest part.” Richardson has battled a torn ligament in the thumb of his riding hand throughout the 2004 season. “It feels better now—I should be back riding in the PBR next year.”
