Resources  Re-Enter


It is my opinion that the resources available to transsexuals online has actually diminished since I first explored transsexuality three years ago on the internet. Because of my own convictions, I decided to compile a thorough resources page. I would really appreciate if any of you could e-mail me about ideas to add to this page for others. I am planning to make this comprehensive so that all people, whether male-to-female, female-to-male, or neither of those, can find information here. However, as a FtM, this entire complex is biased toward FtMs. Any ideas, suggestions, information to update, or corrections are well taken and encouraged. For example, many databases have listed Iowa as only amending birth certificates, but they will apply a new one. I confirmed this through a legal resources person. My goal is to have as much information available to people in one place, and to make that information as accurate as possible.

Nonetheless, what pages I have are divided into general sections, such as: legal resources; a database of doctors, therapists, and the like; explanations of hormones and treatments; surgical options; and a links page to other webpages of various interest. The legal resources encompass legal documents such as birth certificate and passport. I plan to expand it past the U.S. and Canada, and may later include webpages on dealing with marriage, adoption, and child custody, since I know those are frequent issues for transsexuals. The database is self-explanatory, as the rest of the sections. The links page includes personal webpages, medical webpages, organizations, and other links of use.
