The gravity pad lets Luke fly upwards to reach higher areas.

The Biology Lab
Even though people have made even larger areas with the TRLE, I felt that this area was an accomplishment for me (and a test of patience as well).
The Bio Suit
Once you have found the Air Tank and the Suit Console, you can use them to provide air to the Bio Suit. This enables Luke to put the suit on.
Once the suit is on you are able to swim through the bio material.
It seems that Luke wasn't the only product of the biolab...
