·        explain what ahadith say about making remembrance of Allah

·        relate personal experiences to making dua’ and remembering Allah

·        recap introduction from last week

·        go over first few ahadith from list as a class, calling on students to read

·        divide class into groups to discuss ahadith and come up with situations where the meanings come into play

·        call on groups to share examples

  • explain the meaning of the two declarations of Islam
  • explain the meanings of lines 57 – 62 of the matn

·        recap first lesson on Messengers from before exam break

·        finish prayer lesson from before exams

50 points in Aqida have been covered until now - 20 for Allah (Necessary); 20 for Allah (Impossible); nine for Prophets. Draw this out as a tree diagram (including the subheadings) to show a clear overview of what has been covered so far.

Dhul Hijjah 16

*SWBAT:  

·        identify causes of rancor

·        explain cures for boasting and arrogance

·        identify examples of rancor and boasting and arrogance in their own lives

·        have students work in groups to discuss examples of rancor  and solutions and present ideas to class

·        discuss boasting and arrogance as a class, calling on students to recall signs and cures to put on board
