50 points in Aqida have been covered until now - 20 for Allah (Necessary); 20 for Allah (Impossible); nine for Prophets. Draw this out as a tree diagram (including the subheadings) to show a clear overview of what has been covered so far.

 

 

Lesson 9 assignment: Due Date To Be Announced

 

Choose ONE of the following two assignments:

1) There are three contexts Allah Most High addressed the Prophet (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him) with: 1) The Noble Qur'an; 2) the Isra' & Miraj; and 3) the innocence of  `A'isha (may Allah be pleased with her).  Choose one of these events and write details about the event, (i.e. how it came about, what happened during and after it).  Also mention any Qur'anic verses and/or  prophetic sayings which relate to the event. OR

2) Write in detail about one of the following groups, who were amongst the best of the Sahaba: The Righteous Caliphs; the 10 Promised Paradise; the People of Badr; the People of Uhud; or the People of the Covenant of Ridwan.  Write about what is known about the group of people, and how they were characterized.  Include relevant Qur'anic verses and Prophetic sayings where necessary.

Explain the concept of taqlid  (following qualified scholarship) in one's school of jurisprudence.  Give proofs for this practice using the audio, Mas'ud khan's website, & examples from the Companions. (Not more than three pages)
