Name:fr0zen_s0lid Age:Teens Location:USA Interests:Origin of Life, Anime, Cars, Computers Bio:I was born in California and lived there most of my life. I have lived in more then 7 houses most of which are in California or Arizona. I'm a fairly easygoing person and make friends easy. I only recently became a nerd, but have always had interests in nerd cultural things(anime and video games). My favorite car is the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, because I think all cars should have a form of the Altessa ET-S AWD computer onboard(It's just plain cool adding the advantages of both AWD and RWD!) I have pretty strong political views and don't understand people who let any "one" party decide "all" of their stances on important issues. I believe the United States got great because of the revolutionary spirit it once had, but it saddens me to see it's citizens losing that spirit and letting special interest groups divide them. I think the US is slowly slipping into a condition where people just don't care enough about eachother that they are gladly handing over their rights to the government in the name of convenience, laziness, or safety. I don't want to give up so soon, but I don't see how the people here will change unless something "really" drastic and new happens. I just don't see it happening. I listen and enjoy most all types of music(yes even some type of country). I think the state of copyrights in the US is horrible. I think all copyrights should expire after 20 years(no exceptions) and become public-domain, but that's very unlikely it will ever come to that. About the RIAA: I don't believe their exsistence is needed in this age of the internet. I don't think artists really need big recording companies to make them big or make them money. If a band is good and get's their music downloadable on the internet people will share their songs and recommend them to others and the artists can make their huge bucks because of their fanbase that will show up to all their concerts. The RIAA is a middle man that can be completely cut out of the picture and I think they know this so they are trying to go out with a bang(and get as much cash as they can in the process). On to the MPAA: if they want to decrease piracy meet your customers with the technology they want to use. Start online movie download sites. The people could buy the license and then have access to infinite downloads of MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and VOB formats of the movie until they die. About the DMCA: If I legally purchase a DVD I should be able to decrypt it if I want and use the VOBs all I want. If I legally buy a XBOX I should be able to run Linux on it if I want. If I legally purchase 6 used Dreamcasts I should be able to cluster them together and run an BSD internet server. And lastly if I legally puchased any hardware I should dog-gone be able to use it any way I please. If you don't like that I turned my cable box into a refridgerator you can go listen to your cassete tapes and send some snail mail donation to the MPAA. Ok a few things I believe: Abortion is murder, marriage is for a man and a women, guns don't kill people your kid that you don't have time for with your important lives do, freedom of religion does not mean freedom from religion, if you hate the US move the heck out! you have the right use it, popular modern science is as much of a faith as theology, I think AMDs are generally better buys then any Intels period, your civic with street glow lights big wheels JDM lights hood scoop and intake is still just an economy car(only heavier), I would take an EVO over any American made car for the same money($30,000), parents should raise their kids not the government, you are not more important then anyone else(niether am I), people should only have sex with one person their entire life(the one they marry incase anyone was wondering), cookie dough ice cream tastes better then chocolate ice cream, grey hats are not criminals they are concerend and helpful citizens(as well as knowledgable, CARB is what makes Arizona better then California(excluding the beaches), Metal Gear Solid is the best adventure game ever made, RPGs are educational, Gran Turismo 3 "is" alot like real-life driving I don't care what you say, 30% of driver's training is propaganda and does not apply to me(I don't even drink beer), I don't believe in smoking but I think you should be able to if you want, I don't like drugs of any kind(not even legal ones) I'd rather just be in pain for a few hours then pop a few pills, AOL stinks for an ISP, cold water is my favorite drink so what?, VAST makes good music, Tux Racer is better then having all the games that come with Windows, big government is not the best way, if I watch a TV show where someones jumps off their house into their pool and I try it and break my legs it's MY! fault, racism is one of the most widely used excusses for being lazy or not trying, floppies "can" be useful, technically speaking(and I mean "technically") there has never been a 2D game, there is a such thing as an evil person(but his parents didn't hold him enough, you can't blame him :0!). Ok now that I have offended all of you who bothered to read all of this, I am actually a pretty nice person and would love to help you if you ever really needed some help. I'm a pretty approachable guy and have pretty wide horizons so I'll most likely have something in common with you. Peace All!
