History:
Early summer of 2005, the track was built
Late summer of 2005, fencing was installed around the track
Fall of 2005, we received the starting gate
Father's Day 2006, we had our first official work day
July 2006, milling material was delivered to the track for the starting hill
July 29th, we had an unoffical work day, general clean up and tested the clay
Aug 1st, Hazleton's Louis Schiavo BMX Track goes online
Aug 9th, we had an unoffical work night, milling material was leveled and the jumps on the first straight we reshaped.
Aug 13th, we had a work day, capped the tops of every jump on the first straight with clay
Aug 20th, there was a work day; clay as added to the track. Pat and Larry dropped the gate for the first time.
Aug 25th, that stating hill was paved
Aug 27th, we had our Open House in the rain, no practice, but we welcomed new people and played in the mud.
Sept 10th, we had our Grand Open House and participated in the Hazleton Funfest Parade
Sept 17th, we had our first official race with 30 racers in attendance
Oct 22nd, We had our last race of the season.
