Craigie Parish Church
I believe this is the 3rd Craigie Parish church in the district's history. This is the victorian version standing in place of the previous construction. What is believed to be the original, now some 400 hundred years old, can still be seen a few yards from the Burnweil Monument about 3 miles from here.
The Craigie Inn
The Craigie Inn is, apart from the church, one of the few reasons 'outsiders' venture in to Craigie. Its transformation from relaxed village pub to a centre of yummy fayre for hair-spray-wearing couples for miles around was completed over two years ago when the Inn was sold to the owner of The Fenwick Hotel. Staff are friendly and relaxed. Beer and food are pricey, but it's a 'nice' overall experience and worth a visit. Quiet during the week, weekend visits need to be booked in advance
Farmland around Craigie
Walks in and around Craigie are relaxing rather than spectacular. You just have to envy the people who live in this wee house...
Who's this Jakey?
Nice views, but it looks like they let anybody in to this wee hamlet...
The only 'street' in Craigie
The remains of some of the older cottages, the Craigie Inn and, just in front of it, the oldest remaining building in Craigie (seen in the picture of the pub, above) - which the new owner of the pub wanted to pull down. Maybe he thought it looked a tad outdated next to his 4X4. Numpty.
