Number Twenty-Nine: Death by Washing Machine

Scott, being the lovely helpful person he is, had offered to do the laundry for everyone in the mansion. Being a mansion full of people, the washing machine is very big. So there he is. Busy loading up the washing machine with X-uniforms in various sizes, designs, and states of repair; lots of sweatshirts with the X logo on them; Colossus's really quite large underpants (I wonder why... hmm); Jubilee's endless supply of various yellow things, etc etc etc.

"Heyyy Mr Cyclops!" Jamie said cheerfully, making Scott jump and hit his head on the inside of the washing machine.

"Ouch. What do you want, Jamie?"

"How big is that washing machine?" Jamie asked curiously. "It looks big enough to get a full-size adult in there."

Scott gave him a suspicious look.

"Please get in there?" Jamie begged.

What was the harm in it, really? It probably wasn't big enough anyway, and the worst that could happen would be that he'd get stuck in there and Colussus and Beast would have to come along and yank him out. And the entire mansion full of kids would come to watch. But so what? At least Jamie wasn't vandalising the furniture. So, he climbed in head-first.

"I don't think I can get in any further..." he called, his voice echoing around the machine.

"You can," Jamie said, shoving him from behind and then slamming the door shut. "Hm... normal cycle should do it."

Half an hour later, Scott emerged from the machine rather shaken, dripping wet, and smelling quite strongly of washing powder.

"Have fun, Mr Cyclops?" Jamie asked cheerfully.

"I'll give you fun!" Scott yelled, and chased Jamie all the way the mansion until he managed to find himself standing in the garden below a window. And there was Jubilee, up at the window, with, what was that on the windowsill? Oh, a washing machine. Uh oh. She waved and then shoved it outwards.

Gravity being gravity, the washing machine hurtled down towards earth and landed on Scott with a satisfying splat.

MANY thanks to Aqueous, I need your ideas now, I've exhausted all my own.
