First, a note. The character of Scott Summers has, in this universe, never been born. He and his brother Alex just simply don’t exist. There is a good reason for this, too--the man who would have been their father had an unfortunate accident involving a chainsaw that made him incapable of having children. They will never be mentioned again.
And so, the characters. The X-Men are a bunch of mutants living in the Xavier Institute in New York, USA, lead by Professor Charles Francis Xavier. Professor Xavier, now wheelchair-bound and completely bald (well, he has eyebrows) is a great teacher and advisor for the X-Men, but has a habit of being a little... eccentric. He is a bald hippie. There will be more on the subject later, so just bear that in mind.
The main mutants of the X-Men are Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey, Shadowcat, Jubilee and Rogue.
Nightcrawler (aka Kurt Wagner) is a blue mutant; tailed, three-fingered, elf eared, yellow-eyed, demon-like, German. The important things in his life are women and food. Preferably together, if possible. A while ago he had an idea to become a Catholic priest, but on the discovery of how much work it took, gave up and devoted his life to the X-Women instead.
Wolverine (Logan), being the only other important male in the group apart from Xavier (who, for this point, doesn’t count), never has to fight Kurt off for the women (alright, only for Jean). He’s short... not a midget, but still fairly short. Shorter than Kurt, anyway, and quite a lot shorter than Storm. He’s aggressive, violent, and almost impossible to beat in a fight, not least because no one wants to be impaled on six adamantium claws at once. Or even just five. Or even one. Having had the unfortunate experience of three claws at once, Kurt now tends to avoid his teammate whenever he’s in a bad mood. Which is quite often. Logan is clearly the best looking male in the Institute (well, it’s him, Blue Boy or the Bald One), which is quite useful.
Storm (Ororo Munroe) is the tallest of the X-Men. She’s dark skinned and white haired, and has power over the weather. She’s also moody (there’s a thunder storm coming? Oh, Ororo’s sulking then). Despite that, she’s the second favourite of both Logan and Kurt--after Jean.
And that's where it ends, I'm afraid. But read the real thing here.
