Rattling off in the darkness
You forgot yourself
Left alone in a corner
Once you cried,
Twice you fell
into my arms.

Gyved to the wall,
Stuck there forever.
Bubbling thoughts,
Crowd your mind
Nonsense drills
Itself into your brain.

Rock yourself to sleep,
Screaming crescendos
Trying to will out,
The angry voices
That call to you
In the night.

Textured shades
Of black and blue
Cloud your face
Cringe back.
