Dawn
I awake as the moon greets the sun,
The angels stretch their wings to dawn
and the warm heat streams down.
The day tastes fresh -- with a peachy scent.
Drink in glorious life and all who shun it,
Embrace the sky! Hold hands with the child.
Open the scab that has formed,
Inhale without exhaling.
Dance under the clouds,
And watch how they're lifted.
Throw away conformity, scream raw emotion!
Walk on the tight ropes of life,
But be comforted by the mats underneath.
Throw your arms towards the heavens,
Plant your feet firmly on the ground.
For dusk will come once more --
But so will dawn.
