The Wedding I did no sewing for

When my son got married I made the flower girl dresses. It was difficult since neither the bride/groom or the second flower girl lived close to us so it was all done with phone calls and webcam pictures. It was hectic at the end trying to make sure the 2nd dress would fit. lol
So my younger daughter told me that when she got married she promised I'd never have to do any of the sewing for it. Well ... as they say, the best laid plans ... by the day of her wedding the list included 5 bridesmaids dresses, the flower girl dress, bride's veil/garters/purse, the ring bearer's pillow, and my dress. Also I did the design, format and printing of the ceremony programs and the favors they gave out at the reception.
Here are the finished bridesmaids dresses ...

And here's the flowergirl, what a lil doll!

Then there was the day I got a call from my best friend Lesley. She wanted to do a painting with a Raggedy Ann and wanted me to make her one. I laughed and told her to go to ToyRus. She said she'd been there and they weren't what she wanted at all.
*cracks up*
So we started the marathon of phone calls! What color cloth for the body? Peach (like the pattern says) or plain muslin for a more natural look. (Muslin won) Then it was what color yarn for the hair? Orangey red or a more purple red. What color dress? Red/blue/green calico? Just when I thought we were done I had to call one last time to ask what color ricrac trim on the apron. hahaha
