This webpage is part of a media studies unit so the impact of using the internet as a medium must be considered. The internet has pros and cons just like any other type of media.
PROS
~There is a wide availability of information available on the internet ~It is easy to access this information ~You can access the information right from your home
CONS
~On the internet you can never be sure of the accuracy of the information ~There is a lot of inappropriate content on the internet that you can stumble upon ~The sheer amount of information makes finding something specific hard to find
When using the internet you must be careful of safety issues, such as not giving out personal information and being wary of viruses. Even though my site is pretty safe you should be careful that all of this information may not be true.
