&&APRIL 26, 2003: THE REVOLUTION TOUR
on april 26, i had the chance to see my hero, margaret cho, LIVE! i wish i hd brought a camera
because i could remember the night forever, not that i won't, but through visual aides... anyway, let's start with the opening act,
his name was bruce daniels. he was so good, i totally wanted to be him right then. one of his best jokes; "i'm a gay man..what?
like you couldn't tell by the jeans?" he was wearing tight jeans with rhinestone patterns on the bottom of each leg. then, he introduced
margaret and everyone started clapping and screaming. she was wearing this whoel get-up and said she felt like being a "20's
silent movie actress" and she totally looked the part. finally, she took everything off and was wearing normal clothes. this woman
makes fun of everything, especially herself and her culture. she had a wig on that was straight, shiny black hair and she took it off
and said "come on now, do i look like i'd have the traditional asian hair?" god i love this woman! she was hysterical, of course she
made fun of her mother, and she ever got serious..talking abou the war and how we need a revolution because "our 18 year olds
are joining the army just so their college tuition is paid for," and now they have to go to war. the best joke she had was when she told
us about her sporadic bowl movement in the car.."so i was rockin' out in my car one day..'holiday......celebrate...' and i realized 'OH
MY GOD I HAVE TO SHIT RIGHT NOW!' so i tried not thinking about it and i was sitting in my car and singing..'if we took a holiday..'
and then i knew it just wasn't working! so i was sitting there lyin to myself and saying i didn't have to shit, but that wasn't working
either. so i tried bargaining with myself..'maybe i could just let a little out and i'd feel better. just a little could come out and then i'd
be ok.' so i tried it....and I SHIT ALL OVER MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" yeah, she told us every detail. and then later on in the show, she was
telling us how she was in her car again, and then she looked over at our section and said "NO, i didn't shit myself this time!" did i
mention i had 9TH ROW!? oh yes, this was by far the best show i had ever been to! in it, margaret cho totally lives up to her history
from the i'm the one that i want and notorious c.h.o tours! my rating: 5 stars!
