Hai! This is where I get to teach you some neat things. <3 There are a few things I'm good at, so now you can be good at them too. Doesn't that sound fun? I think so. n___n

Here is a recipe for hotcakes, my best dish!
sift:
one cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
one-quarter teaspoon salt (not needed)

beat and add:
one egg (optional)

add:
1 cup milk (scant)
stir gradually to make smooth
add:
1 teaspoon melted butter or oil

cook in a hot frying pan, flip pancakes when they bubble, to brown the other side.

Serve with syrup and enjoy!

Here are some Japanese words that are commonly used in the series. It's fun to try to pick them out if you know them. nn

arigatou: It means 'thank you'. If you add 'gozaimasu', that would be like saying 'thank you very much'.
-chan: This is added to the end of names for girls. I use it for my friends, but people older than me would use it for me, too. I call Kero, Kero-chan because his borrowed form is kawaii. nn
gomen: It means 'sorry'. A more formal version is 'gomenasai'.
hai: This means 'yes' or 'okay'.
ja ne: This is like saying 'bye', but it is very informal.
kaijuu: This means 'monster' o:< onii-chan calls me this a lot!
konnichiwa: This is like saying 'hello', but it really means 'good afternoon'.
-kun: -kun is like -chan, but for a boy's name.
mata ne: 'see you later', but like ja ne, it is informal.
nani: This means 'what?' or just represents confusion.
ne: This is like adding 'you know?' or 'right?' in English to the end of a sentence.
ohaiyou: This is a short, 'good morning'. I say this when I get to class every day.
onii-chan: It means, 'big brother'. I call Touya onii-chan.
otou-san: This is 'father'.
okaa-san: 'Mother'.
-sama: This is added to a name to show great respect. Kero-chan calls me Sakura-sama if he wants me to bring him sweets. xp
-san: Usually added to a grown-up's name, but can also be used to show respect to anyone.
sensei: It means 'teacher'.
