Poetry by

Winter in the Blue Mountains

Frost on my window in crystal design
Smells of wood burning somewhere in a fire
Steel grey skies forbidding and cold
Blue mountains in the distance quiet and old
Silence in the lonely hours
No solace from the frozen flowers
Memories linger from times long gone
Time saves nothing 'til it's done

Without You

Sometimes the past comes wandering in
When my heart is listening
My memories of you from way back when
And all the loneliness they bring

Without you my stars don't shine
The moon is cold and grey
Without you I'd never find
The love that lights my way

When you left you took a part of my heart
And you cannot return it to me
Whoever thought we'd be apart
For this eternity

I thought that we would always be
Together side by side
I never thought you would leave me
With such emptiness inside

You were the song inside my soul
You were the strength that carried me
You took away the music now
And no-ones there beside me

Dedicated to the memory of Teresa Lynn Welch
7/31/1967 to 4/2/2001
Sail away little sister...
