Pat Sitaraman SHS/BTC Business & Finance Academy

Dear Friend of Spaulding

I am so glad that your child has chosen to enroll in one of my business classes. I would like to tell you a bit about my classes and what will be expected.

First, and most important, we need to respect one another in my classroom. This means we are kind, courteous, and supportive of one another. We respect what your tax dollars have purchased. Textbooks are covered; desks are kept clean. Lastly, we respect ourselves. We come to school EVERY day ready to learn and to teach. We take care of ourselves; we take pride in the work we produce; we ask for help when we need it. We come to school EVERY day with a pencil, notebook, textbook, and assignment book.

Make up of work missed from an excused absence is possible. I ask that your child hands two papers to me upon return from an absence: (1) the excused absence pass and (2) a note requesting missed work assignments. I adhere to Spaulding’s policy which states that your child has two school days to request missed assignments. Your child will receive a zero for all work missed from an unexcused absence. Extra credit is not to replace regularly assigned work. As a security measure, your child should save all graded work.

I look forward to a good, productive quarter or semester with your child. I will be in touch with you through phone calls, postcards, and open house. I am teaching period 1 at Montpelier High School and blocks 3 and 4 at SHS/BTC. Please call me during school hours at 476-4811, visit me in Room 125, or e-mail me at psitashs@u61.net.

My teaching responsibilities at SHS/BTC are as follows. Fall 2007, Block 3--Business Law 1st quarter, Entrepreneurship 2nd quarter; Spring 2008, Block 3--Entrepreneurship 3rd quarter, Career Readiness 4th quarter and Block 4--Consumer Math.

The remainder of this site is under construction at this time. Thank you for visiting!!
