Hello and welcome to The Detroit Tigers Team Website. The Tigers are very pleased with the progress they have made so far. Although we only went 17-19 in Spring Training, I think we will be a strong contender for the playoffs. Early on we made a few trades which improved are hitting a lot. Just recently, we made some trades which really helped our Rotation by acquiring Jarod Washburn, Kip Wells, and Gil Meche. When asked, Jarod Washburn has this to say, "I am really ecstatic about now being a part of this great ballclub and their history. I am hoping on performing the best I've ever done this year with them to help them to the playoffs. They have made some really good trades so far which I think will make them a strong contender for the playoffs."
