How to setup an ASP (Active Server Page) Server in your PCs?
BY: Rodelio P. Barcenas

An Activer Server Page Server (also known as IIS 4.0 Server) can be easilly installed in your PC. If you are running Win98 Operating System, the original installation disk contains this add-on software (Personal Web Server PWS) which when installed can turn your computer into a web server.

Let us say you have PCs which are connected in a network, the PC that has a PWS software installed. The PWS will try to get the log-in name of the PC. If I log-on to my computer with "mycompany" as username, the other PCs can now access the PC which is running PWS by using a browser with address pointing to http://mycomputer. By the way, this can only be utilized in an intranet(company network). You'll need a real IIS 4.0 server if you want your site to be hooked-up in the Internet, plus of course... a registered IP address for your site.

What can I do with an ASP server? With an ASP server you can link databases to the webpages, do a simple intranet websearch engine, evaluate and study more how to program a real ASP server.

I haven't tried the Windows ME, just try to look for the above mentioned.
