Mitech-BTHI (Borommeo Technology Holdings, Inc.) began operations in 1989 and is credited with the many "first" in the Philippines such as the first Filipino company to design an integrated circuit, the MAC701; the first Filipino company to develop an MPU Based Building Automation System; and the first Filipino company to design MS-DOS Based hand-held computer.

Mitech offers design and manufacturing solutions and systems. Among these are computerized time recording, security systems, data communications, mobile computing, building automation systems, industrial automation systems, and car park management systems.

Mitech's products are all developed in-house by R&D engineering groups, a core of young and talented Filipino engineers dedicated to prove that Filipino is world-class, whose expertise ranges from MPU-based board level designs to manufacture manufacture of complete products and complex systems.
