Began in 1974 under the name Trident Systems Design and Services Company, it was renamed a year later as Trident Electronic System Services Corporation. It specializes in technical services for computers and other sophisticated electronic equipment for several years where it gained a reputation for excellence and professionalism.

In the mid 80's, Trident shifted to product development, manufacture, and marketing to further increase its volume of business. Out of the many products Trident introduced, the Chronolog Time Recorder and the Lifeline Nursecall Systems attained commercial status and are now major revenue source. In 1990, the company was renamed Trident Electronics Corporation and its capital base was substantially increased.

In 1996, Trident expanded its scope of business and the corporate vision/mission became "To be a Respected and Outstanding Producer and Distributor of Products and Systems for Computerized Timekeeping, Factory Data Capture & Processing and Access Control". While the company continous to pursue research and development in line with the expanded vision, it is exploring the integration of new product lines using equipment from established manufacturers overseas, with software development and technical support as the company's value-added.
