Here are a the ferrets
that have been successfully
adopted or are sponsored through
Helping Hands Ferret Rescue

Heidi went out today to a forever home.
May 5, 2002 ...Eva Adopted her.

SECOND UPDATE ON HEIDI

Heidi was returned to us on July 20, 2002
She just didn't get along with the other ferrets and
she stressed out and wouldn't eat. She also developed
a heart condition which she could have had before
she was adopted although she showed no signs of it.
Ferrets do that they hide conditions that we need
to know about.
Heidi's vet bill came to over $800.00 if you would like
to help with her bill please feel free to make a donation.
We are sad to report that after over $800.00 and lots
of love and care Heidi only lasted two weeks.
We all miss her here at the shelter.

Bear
Bear ... is a Christmas Bear. We found Bear in a Pet shop Christmas of 2000 It was a local pet shop that was getting ready to close for the holidays. Poor Bear, he was all by himself and looked so lonely. We just couldn't stand to see him alone for the holidays so we bought him for a while we thought about surrendering him to the PFRA but then thought he could stay here till we could find a place for him. At the time I did not have a shelter just took them in. Bear is such a frisky kit and loves to torment the other ferrets. He is very brave and never backs down from any of them. Whoever gets him is going to get a very sweet big boy.

UPDATE ON BEAR

BEAR......was adopted on March 23,2002 by Heather from Mars, PA. Congratulations Heather, you got a wonderful boy.

Kiana
This sweet little girl is Kiana.... She will be a year old this August of 2002. She loves to play with other ferrets and she is very spunky. She will give any ferret a run for their money. If their is a way this little Angel can get into trouble she does it. She loves to climb and who ever gets her will have to stay on their toes with ferret proofing :-) She is a Sable Point... isn't she beautiful! She is a little toe biter that we are working on. She also steals any thing that isn't nailed down So watch your keys if you get this spunky girl.

UPDATE ON KIANA

Kiana was adopted by Natalie
from Clinton, PA
along with Casper on August 19, 2002

Casper
This beautiful Albino Boy is Casper..... He will be two years old late June 2002. Casper came from a pet shop where he was living in a small aquarium with no water in their and no food at least when we saw him. We asked the manager about it and he said the girl that takes care of the small animals is off today. Gosh does that mean if she is off for several days they don't get fed. He had flies crawling all over him and their was no litter box. At first we thought he was dead. I couldn't resist purchasing him and getting him out of their. We thought about keeping him for a while but we knew that like Kiana he deserved a forever home of his own. Casper is very loving and lots of fun. He is very energetic and gets along well with other ferrets. He will make someone a beautiful large boy.

UPDATE ON CASPER

Casper was adopted by Natalie
from Clinton, PA
along with Kiana on August 19, 2002
Congratulations Natalie,
you got a wonderful girl and boy.

This pretty little silver girl that my
daughter Sue is holding is Melinda .......
She is going on 4 years old.
She came to us a year and a half ago.
She is a very sweet little girl who loves to be handled.
She likes to steal toys and give kisses.
She also came from the
Clairon County Humane Society
and like David and Goliath, Melinda was taken from
her owner for neglect.

Nicky and Melinda have found a forever home in W. V.
with Kris and Shawn and their new brother and sister.
Thanks Kris and Shawn for opening up your home to
these two wonderful kids.

Nicky ...A two year old Albino male
very loving and very sweet loves to kiss and kiss.
This picture was taken before he was neutered.
Nicky was found on the golf course and
brought to the shelter. Nicky is around two years old.
He is very loving and was from the beginning.
We haven't figured out if he got lost or was turned lose.
He was such a loving ferret from day one so he must
have known love in his former home.
Here is his picture after he was neutered.
Isn't he beautiful!!!

UPDATE!

Nicky and Melinda both went to West Virginia
to live with Kris and Shawn in WV. They are doing
great I hear from Kris all the time and she says
all is going well.
