This International invitation race was the last occasion the outfit completed a full race meeting.

Proven successful in World and European Championships, the technical and political machinations surrounding the use of a 'Rotary' engine forced Jim to put the motor back on the shelf.

Jim pulls into the jetty to record a respectable place. Although he was not allowed to receive his prize because of more prejudice concerning the engine.

On form Peter Heibuch proved to be the European Champion of that year using the Wartburg Engine. This is the unit Jim is now experimenting with.
