Welcome to Khadijah's Mirror

Greetings and welcome to the homepage for Sayyida (Lady) Khadijah bint Mika'l al Zarqah, the persona I use as a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (the SCA).  In the SCA, I am an Ottoman Turk of the mid 15th Century.  I and my husband, Sayyid (Lord) Suleyman al-Rashid ibn Beyazid, were residents of Venice, Italy in long-distance service to the Sultanate.  Unfortunately, the tensions of the region and conflicts between the two governments forced us to move.  This is when we settled in Trimaris and embraced it fully as our home.

The name "Sayyida Khadijah bint Mik'ail al Zarqah" translates into English as "Lady Khadijah, Daughter of Michael With The Blue Eyes".  It was accepted by the Laurel Sovereign of Arms in the September 2000 report.

Recent Updates

March 22, 2003 - With the input of my darling husband, my website has a new look!  The rest of the website will be transformed to this marvelous new format as soon as I can get to it.
