M. Marcus Coccieus Nerva

          |

      Marcus Coccieus NERVA (Emp. 96-98 CE, b. 32 CE, d. Jan.98 CE)

M. Ulpia (Sister of OTHO)

Note: NERVA was of a Senatorial family. He was emperor from 96 CE to 98 CE.

He was born Nov. 8, 32 CE and died Jan. 98 CE.

* Julia, the daughter of Drusus and Livilla had first married Nero (the son of Germanicus)

and then C. Rubellius Blandus (aka Caius/Gaius Rubellius Blandus). So, if there was issue

with Nero in the first marriage then that person is likely to be the mother of emp. NERVA.

And as the names indicate, Rubellia Bassa and her brother/s Rubellius Plautus and Blandus

were of the second marriage (to C. Rubellius Blandus).

** Marcus Cocceius Nerva, the consular of 36 BCE.

*** Lucius Coccius Nerva, emperor NERVA’s great-uncle, played a part in negotiations to

secure a treaty with Octavian and Marc Antony in 40 BCE.

**** Marcus Coccieus Nerva (The Jurist) accompanied TIBERIUS on his retirement at Capri

in 26 CE.
