Killer whales are the largest dolphin. They are 20-30 feet (6-9 meters) long. They weigh 3-10 shorts tons (2.7-9 metric tons). They have a glossy black back and a white underside. They have 40-48 teeth. They have 10-12 teeth on each side of each jaw. They travel in groups that range from two to dozens of animals. They equal the top speed of 25 miles (40 km) per hour. The fastest swimming whale is the blue whale.
