Chapter Four
“Courtney....Courtney wake up....” Kevin nudged me softly. “Hmmm...”
Whats going on? Ahhh this better be damn good. “What?” I said impaently. I
could hear Kevin giggling at me. What the fuck is so funny? I slowly opened
my eyes and saw Kevin standing above me. “What do you want?” I turned over
not wanting to get up. “Well Ms. Courtney we were all waiting for you at
dinner but you never showed up so I was volenteered, against my will, to come
see if you were ok,” Kevin sat down on the floor beside the couch. “Oh thanks
Kevy you really know how to make a girl feel special,” I threw a pillow at him.
“What time is it anyway?” I asked. “Hmmm a little after 12am,” Kevin smiled.
“Fuck dinner was like 5 hours ago and it took you guys that long to come
check on me?? Damn I could’ve been kidnapped and already half way around
the world before anyone comes to check on me. Thanks again, I feel the love,”
I laughed. “Well if it makes you feel any better dinner wasn’t all that great,”
“Oh yeah now i can die one happy monkey,” I giggled. “A monkey?” Kevin looked
at me weird. “Leave me alone dammit I’m tired,” after a few minutes I
bursted out laughing. “Ok i’m getting out of here because your really
freaking me out, sleep well my little monkey,” Kevin walked towards the door.
“I’m not your monkey!!” I yelled as he walked out. I walked to the bedroom
and layed on the bed. Everything is so screwed up. If they knew any of my
past they would surely never speak to me again. Why is all of this coming up
now? God why can’t I forget it like I did before? I was brought out of my
thoughts by my cell ringing. “Yeah,” I said into my phone. “Hey, are you ok?”
Nicks voice greated me. “I’m fine, you don’t need to worry about me,” I got
off the bed and walked around the room. “If you say so Courtney but I just
have to say one thing, you don’t have to be so damn strong all the time and
carry all of us like we were your children. Let us help you out if we can. I
don’t know if the others see it but I see you’ve built a huge wall around
yourself and someone needs to break it down,” Nick finished leaving me
speachless. “Nick...” “.....honestly I would like to be the one to break it down,”
Nick got silent. I sat on the bed and did the last thing I would’ve done if I was
thinking clearly and at this moment I didn’t think I was thinking clearly. “Nick
will you come to my room?” “I’ll be right there.” I turned off my phone and
walked to the bathroom. I have built a wall around myself, a huge fucking wall.
A few minutes later I heard a faint knock on my door. I walked into the main
room and opened the door. AJ?!?!?! “Alex what the fuck are you doing?” he
went pasted me and sat on the couch. “We need to talk girly,” He layed back
on the couch. Well ok Alex its not like I had any plans or anything..... “Well
just make yourself at home,” I said sarcasticly when I saw his body spread out
on MY couch in MY room. “Why did you run away from me today?” Damn...
“Look Alex.....” I stoped when I heard a knock on the door. Who ever is at the
door I love you. “Hey Nick come on in,” I said. “Oh so Nick gets a ‘Come on in’
and I get ‘What the fuck are you doing’” “You just dont have the charm Aj,”
Nick laughed. “OK Alex I’m sorry for running away from you today now please
leave,” I didn’t want him to leave but he already knew too much as it was.
“Baby just stop, we all see your hiding someting, the only question is what is
it?” Aj looked seriously at me. “Shit, both of you get out of my room now, I’m
serious get the fuck out of my room,” I began crying. “Courtney don’t cry....”
“I can’t stop crying Nick, all I seem to do anymore is cry. Accept that there is
nothing wrong with me. Now please leave my fucking room” I walked to the
bedroom and locked the door. “I’m not leaving her here alone,” Nick sat down
“Me either,” Aj said.
