THE POEMS
Love's End
The love you said we’d share forever more,
Is now only just a third of what we had before.
Are we beyond the point of no returning?
Or is our love strong enough to keep on burning?
Was it something I said or did to make you run from me,
Cause I thought we could love for all eternity.
In this love, each of us plays a role,
So all of our love can become a whole.
Now that whole seems to be cut in half,
Cause to you our love was used for just a laugh.
Was I wrong to believe you were someone I could love and depend,
Because all I see in our future is our love’s end.
P.S.
One thing I know;
I will survive,
Even if this love
Was never alive.
