In my time of hurt and pain,
You showed up like a light in the rain.
I had no idea how special you'd be,
Not only special but essential to me.
You made me laugh when I felt like crying;
You made me strong when I felt I wanted to
stop trying.
You never let me fall but helped me climb,
When I felt like quitting all the time.
To you I owe so much more than thanks,
Cause you have risen so high in my ranks.
You'll always be my special captain,
Even if none of this were to have happened.
